KTU Career Days’08 Afterparty is definitely one of the most impressive parties of the year in Kaunas. On 19th of March, after KTU Talents Bank and the closure of Contact Fair between companies and students, representatives of companies which participated in day part of the event, people who study in Kaunas and organizers of the event gathered in music club “Combo” where the after-party of Career Days 2008 took place.This year the party guests were invited to take a spin into the maelstrom of electronic music along with a guest-star from Germany – Apparat – and famous Lithuanian artists. Sacha Ring (Apparat) – titled as one-man-orchestra - was the brightest star of the evening. Lithuanians had the precious opportunity to be the first to hear the presentation of the global-level IDM, minimal-techno and other electronic sub-genre artist’s fresh new album “Remixes and Parts to be Frickled”. The audience was also very much enjoyed by tracks form Apparat’s well-know albums – “Duplex”, “Sizilium”, “Shapermodes”, etc.
Music performers in KTU Career Days’08 Afterparty also included the famous Lithuanian electronic music artists – winners of the Rising Talents Nomination by RadioCentras – the scandalous Metal On Metal, member of Partyzanai Mantas T. and performers from Kaunas Re:fiction. The number of guests in the party exceeded 2000. The Afterparty is with no doubt the largest electronic music party taken place in Kaunas.
Organizers received many positive responses due to the decision to invite famous electronic music performers to the evening part of KTU Career Days 2008 as there are not enough events of this kind in Kaunas. After his performance, the main guest of the party – Apparat – enjoyed the company of wonderful audience and a high-quality event. As it was noticed, KTU Career Days’08 Afterparty satisfied not only the fans of electronic music, but also those, who came by to the event mainly being led by curiosity.
